Testimonials

ILTinnovation:

“This year ITD’s Innovation Center ILT had two projects in DTU's Innovation Pilot, and we are delighted that one of the projects won the competition. The winning team came up with an innovative proposal on how trucks' batteries can stay on the power for longer rest without the engine running idle. The potential of the proposal must now be clarified with the industry and the suppliers of the industry and at first sight it looks promising. I have therefore invited the group to register their proposals for Grøn Dyst (Green Challenge).”

"Participating in Innovation Pilot has been a great experience, which has both raised awareness of our industry at DTU and among the students, and the students have contributed with fresh eyes to one of the industry's challenges."

- Innovation manager, Poul Bruun, ITD.

(ITD is the trade association for the Danish road freight transport).

Alpha - elektronik
"The company Alpha–elektronik is a highly specialized manufacturing company that produces electronics in smaller order series. The company is experiencing a growing demand for larger productions series, which challenges their existing production setup. Therefore, the students have worked on how the company can rethink their production flow so that they can handle both small and large order series."

"The students have presented some VERY interesting solutions."

Henrik Meisner, Customer Support Manager, ALPHA-elektronik.

Kalundborg Forsyning
"Kalundborg Forsyning (Kalfor) is a multi-supply company that handles water supply for large industrial companies as well as citizens of Kalundborg. During Innovation Pilot, the students helped the company develop a data transmission plug-in that gives Kalfor control over data transmissions between water meters and the radio transmission system, which creates a number of new opportunities for the company going forward."

"It has been an exciting and really good process, also for our internal processes of innovation and development. We'll be back."

Preben Thisgaard, Project Manager, Kalundborg Forsyning.

Padborg Fjernvarme
"Padborg Fjernvarme is a heat supply company that services the entire Padborg area with district heating. The company is particularly interesting, as it wants to be at the forefront of green change in a crowded market with rapid technological development. During the course, the students have worked on how to create a self-sufficient and green district heating system that meets the demands and needs of the future families."

"We have met the future of Denmark, whose work demonstrates several combinations of talent – vision – commitment, which presented significant opportunities in a green transition in heat supply."

Jan Riber, Chairman for the board of Padborg Fjernvarme and Arwos.
